Star Track
The turntables will sit on a series of short heavy railroad cars wheels and ride on standard guage railroad tracks made of Startrack II railroad crossing modules. These precast sections will be custom designed for curved track and to be able to support the extreme loads of the turntable structure and freight trains that will rest on them.

Trackmobile
The Railcar Sequencing Turntable will be operating Trackmobile Mobile Railcar Movers. These units will be performing the switching duties on the turntable and throughout the facility. The Trackmobile is not confined to the rail as conventional locomotives. The operator simply moves a rocker switch in the cab and converts from rail to road or road to rail in seconds.
